Christmas Mantle 2010

This year for the mantle, I used leftover branches from my DIY Flocked Christmas Tree as the base of the greenery.  Then, added fresh elements for scent and texture.

I layered berries and bayleaves and shopped the front yard for evergreen clippings.

(Sorry, Honey about the incident involving the hedge clippers and your new LED lights).

To mix things up a bit, I opted for potted Amaryllis instead of the Paperwhites that I've used in the past.

I can't wait to see what everyone else has created.

Christmas Blessings to you and yours.

  2. Gorgeous! I ordered those stocking this year. I had been holding out for the last two years and finally did it! I love the amaryllis with the hurricanes. The zebra chair looks great with the red throw! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at your house!

  13. Well...I've looked at a lot of great mantles but yours really speaks to me!! I love it. I love the symmetry and the colors combination. My kitchen is done in the same colors, guess I'm drawn to those wonderful bold colors. Also, their traditional Christmas colors, which I like.
    Great Job!!!
    Merry Christmas,

  14. Is your "LED light incident" similar to my "I'm sorry about the drip system" incident? I'm thinking they might be!

I love how modern and yet traditional your mantle is. That last photo is magazine worthy!
