I am a firm believer anyone can create beautiful, meaningful custom art to display in their home.
You don't have to be a talented Artist, or professional Photographer, or have a huge budget to purchase someone elses' work to have one-of-a-kind, gorgeous Art.
Case in Point...
(Ethan Allen)
These oversized framed photos from Ethan Allen are lovely. I'm sure many people have paid a pretty penny for them.
Using my digital camera and my very basic photography skills, I was able to create a similar version.
I snapped these black and white photos on a recent trip to our family cottage in Northern Michigan, where our family spends a lot of time together...
I had them blown up (extra, extra large) at Walmart.com.
I found three large chunky black frames at the Goodwill...
...and used poster board to create my own mats.
The only difference between the pricey Ethan Allen version and mine, besides the cost, is that mine have meaning to me and my family.
You can't put a price on "warm and fuzzies".
Just remember, size matters.
The bigger, the more impact your photographs have.
Do you have a favorite place where you and your family have created memories? If you do, and you have a camera... you have custom Art in the making...
This is a great project! Not only did you do it for cheaper but they have meaning too!
