The Red Dresser




I found this dresser at a local thrift store.  It wasn't vintage, it wasn't a super deal I couldn't refuse, it wasn't even cute.  Somehow, it made it's way home with me.

Lately, I've been admiring brightly painted furniture.
I was really inspired by This Buffet- Turned Media Console.  
The green she chose is amazing.



I went with Lipstick Red.  I was going to post a tutorial on the painting process but, why recreate the wheel?  Especially when there is an awesome tutorial like this one already out there.  




My red dresser is our new buffet server/bar in our lower level Family Room.

    I have to say it is a breath of fresh air to see a nice pop of bright colour on a piece of furniture. I am in the habit of painting things white because a) it is safe and b) because I'm afraid not to (if you know what I mean)...

    Thanks for the inspiration to break away from my comfort zone!

    Oh my gosh I LOVE this!! I just bought an old dresser like this one and am waiting to pick it up this weekend. I LOVE this red. What brand did you go with for the Lipstick Red? Did you do a glossy finish?
