Two Dollar Lamp Makeover

(After)

Lamp makeovers are so much fun.  I found this lamp at Walmart.  You couldn't beat the price, $12.95.  I could easily pay more than that second hand shopping.  I also picked up the red drum shade there as well.

My original plan was to spray the base Kelly Green.  I may still do that but for summer, I like the white.  It has an understated nautical feel.

It was nice but, a little boring.  So, I picked up a spool of white grosgrain ribbon and hot glued a stripe around the top and around the bottom.

Then, to make it even better, I gave it a twin.

This lamp "makeover" cost $2 and took less than 5 minutes.  You will probably see these again, when I decide to go for the green.

Here are a few fabulous lamp makeovers:

Aren't they great?
Thanks for visiting!

I have six shadeless vintage lamps. They are just sitting there naked because I can't find shades I like. You have inspired me to get a bit crafty!

  8. Oh cute! That last lamp though is adorable! It's almost like if J. Crew and Pier One had a lamp love child Hah. I love your blog! I hope you don't mind that I added it to my "Blog Crushes" part of my blog! Keep up the great posts!
