Recently, I had the opportunity to create a design plan for the master bedroom of a gorgeous executive traditional style home. Kristen, the homeowner, is not only one of the cutest, nicest people I have ever met, but also fun to work with. In fact, we had so much fun together that you will be seeing a few more "before and after" spaces of this home very soon.
Here is how her master bedroom makeover unfolded.
Let's take a look at the before pics...
(taken with a crummy cell phone camera )

And after...
You may remember the design plan I shared for this space a little while ago, below is the inspiration board from the plan...
Here are the details on how Kristen and her husband, Scott,
took our design plan and brought it to life...
Stunning new furniture,
fabulous accessories,
new bedding with lots of fun texture,
a beautiful eggplant tufted armchair,
new sconces,
dramatic drapes layered over bamboo roman shades,
oversized bedside lamps,
and lastly, a functional {as well as handsome} wall mounted flatscreen tv.
The product source list for this makeover includes, Restoration Hardware, Arhaus Furniture, Crate and Barrel, ZGallerie, West Elm, HomeGoods, Target and Lowes.
These homeowners did a fabulous job. I had the fun part, creating the design, they had the hard part, making it reality. Their execution was flawless.
Thank you, Kristen and Scott for inviting me into your home and allowing me to share your beautiful new space. It has been such a pleasure working with you and I can't wait to show off more of your gorgeous home.

ReplyDeleteLove it! You did another fabulous job! Where is the bedding from? I love that it is a pretty design, not to masculine but not too girly either.
ReplyDeleteSara this was one of my favorite design boards you've done, so I love being able to see it implimented! I've been debating doing my office/craft room in black and white with purple accents for some time but haven't decided on a wall color. LOVE this gray, can you please share the brand/color? All of your choices are gorgeous and the homeowners did a beautiful job - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words. The color is Sherwin Williams "mindful gray", one of my favorite grays;). Thanks again, Sarah
DeleteI really like the dressers and the nightstands. Would you mind letting me know the source.
ReplyDeleteI was looking to use those sconces in a powder room. Do they give off enough light. Would use them flanking a mirror. Would not be the only source of light.
ReplyDeleteLove this!! Where can I find the drapes and bedding??
ReplyDeleteI would love to know that too! Loving this blog!
DeleteGorgeous! Love it! Love those striped curtains and great rug. :)
ReplyDeleteI am loving the rug, the chair and the curtains. I found similar curtains at Crate and Barrel. Would you happen to know where the rug and the chair came from?
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
Yes, would love to know where the rug, furniture and bedding were purchased. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAre the dresser and nightstand black or a espresso color? I really like the color and how it goes together, I just can't tell the color of the furniture? The bed looks black, so not sure if the furniture is black or espresso. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks!!

ReplyDeleteLove the rug. Where was it purchased from? Thanks
ReplyDeleteI would like to know where you purchased the Roman Bamboo Shades with black piping. I have checked all the resources you listed with no luck. Did the shades come with the piping or did the homeowners add that themselves?
ReplyDeleteI love this room also. Was the paint semi gloss or egg shell?
ReplyDeleteI am also interested in the Roman Bamboo shades. Love them. Where are they from?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful makeover!
