Today, in the design studio, I'm having a ton of fun pulling a client's new guest bathroom together.
So much fun that I had to share it.
I'm excited about this project for two reasons,
the first reason is that the client is not afraid of pattern and color.
Bathrooms are a great place to have a little fun with trendy prints and bold color.
I took the client's warm and sunny disposition my cue for the color palette.
Warm and sunny equals orange and yellow.
The second reason I'm so excited about how this room is shaping up is...
with the exception of the art {which my client already owned} this unique, high end looking design was conceived at...
Target!
So far, I love the way it's looking on my desk.
I can't wait to install the new design it in the actual space.
I'll be sure to share the reveal just as soon as the paint is dry {paint colors are Martha Stewart "october leaf" and "shortbread"}.
The only problem I have with Target is I never leave without a full cart.
Does anyone else have the same issue?
I do too, just went a bought the brown leather chair they had on sale. Love going there, always so much to see!
ReplyDeleteYes! One stop shopping including your food for the week! Dangerious but fun... Love your color palet and the shower curtain-rich fall tones!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to buy those curtains for our MBR, it could really use some color! Our walls are Fawn Brindle by SW (dark gray) and our bedding is all white. Do you think that would look ok?
ReplyDeleteI really love those pictures. How long ago were these purchased?
ReplyDeleteI loose all control when I go to Target!! FIrst I go into women clothes only to check what they have - OH "have to have that", then I stroll and check out the shoes and most likely a pair goes into my basket - but I seriously get in trouble in the housewares department. I do love their Thomas O'Brien towels!! They're the best!! Cha-ching!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove Target also. I am desperate to know are you planning to use the curtain panels as a shower curtain? I am being forced to do that in my bathroom and was very unsure feeling about it. If so are you doing them as tie back panels or are they being sewn together in someway?
ReplyDeleteThis was a very helpful post. I liked how you showed everything after it had been purchased. Seeing everything 'packaged' gives me a better idea of how to shop. When I see everything already put up it seems overwhelming. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with that burnt orange color lately. You're right- a bathroom is a great place to be brave with color and pattern and do a little experimenting. I think it will look great when it's all put together!
ReplyDeleteAny updates on the finished product?
