Dramatic Two Story Dark Gray Fireplace Living Room Design Plan

Today, I'd like to share a design plan I just delivered to an EDesign Client. She has a gorgeous home that includes a step down living room with a vaulted ceiling. The fireplace is standard height, to make it a dramatic focal point in the space, I suggested my client spend the bulk of her project allowance on making it a two story element. I did this by suggesting that she add trim work around and above the fireplace bump out and then have it painted in a dark gray color. This tall, contrasting, new element will draw the eye up and create a singular attraction for your eye to rest on upon entering the space. 

The other suggestions I made for her space, take the beautiful design elements she already has in place and builds upon them to create a fresh, new, look.
